What is it?
A carbon footprint is a measure of the impact our activities have on the environment, and in particular climate change. It relates to the amount of greenhouse gases produced in our day-to-day lives through burning fossil fuels for electricity, heating and transportation etc.

The carbon footprint is a measurement of all greenhouse gases we individually produce and has units of tonnes (or kg) of carbon dioxide equivalent.

How you can help?
By simply getting your loft insulated and/or cavity wall insulated you will lower the amount of carbon dioxide you produce.

Your CO2 saving per year will be around 730 tonnes (kg) if your loft hasn’t been insulated previously. If you are topping your loft up you will still Save around 210 tonnes (kg).
