What is cavity wall insulation?
If your home was built after the 1920s, it is likely that your external walls are made of two layers with a small gap called a 'cavity' between them. This means you have a `cavity wall'. By filling this cavity 'gap' with insulation you will vastly reduce heat loss from your home and will then save energy and save money.

How does cavity wall insulation work?
Cavity wall insulation helps to prevent warm air escaping from the inner wall through the cavity space into the external wall and outside the cold air.

By filling your cavity with cavity wall insulation, it is much harder for the heat to escape, and hence helps to maintain the temperature inside, so that your central heating (or other heating system) has to do less work to keep your home at the right temperature.
