Assessment Process Once you have arranged your free survey (which you can do by contacting us on the "contact us" page) the surveyor will:
Require Access to your loft
Check that your loft is suitable for insulation
Conduct a survey which will look at the depth, condition and coverage of any(if any) existing loft insulation
Identify any additional requirements that you may need for the installation to take place, such as removal of any personal belongings.
Provide you with a copy of the completed survey and outline the nature of any work to be undertaken
Complete paperwork required to access your loft insulation grant which could be that you get it FREE of charge.
The Installation Process Our loft insulation installers will ensure that your loft insulation is brought up to the latest building regulation standards with minimum fuss and disruption.
The installer will:
Prepare for the job
Lay the new insulation. For insulation 'top-ups' new insulation will be laid over existing loft insulation
Ensure electrical cables are lifted or uncovered to prevent overheating
Ensure there is adequate ventilation through the eaves to prevent condensation build up
Lag any cold water tanks and piping that are not adequately insulated
Insulate and draft proof the loft hatch
Remove any surplus debris and tidy up the work area
How you can help You can help with the installation of your new loft insulation by:
Ensuring your driveway is clear for our loft insulation installers (for van access)
Show the installer where the nearest power points are located
Clearing personal belongings and boarding
Upon completion, check the loft insulation installed and sign a form to confirm that the work has been carried out to your satisfaction.
