How does the scheme work?

We are proud to support households living in fuel-poor homes, with EPC ratings in bands D, E, F, and G, to become more energy-efficient. In today's climate with rising energy prices, it's important to not waste fuel. We can improve a home's energy efficiency in various ways, such as insulating the cavity wall, underfloor space, and attic to retain heat, or upgrading old heating systems to modern and energy-efficient ones. What if I don't receive any benefits?

We are also working closely with local authorities to secure funding for those who are struggling with fuel poverty but are not on benefits. Keep an eye out for updates. You may be entitled to a £9,000 grant through Home Energy Scotland even if you are not on a benefit, they also offer interest free loans to cover any costs over and above this amount.
